It was a great moment
for Division U in the morning of Sunday,
21 May 2006 at Furama Riverfront
Singapore as about 500 participants
attending the 2006 District 80 Annual
Convention there witnessed the
phenomenal achievements our Division U
contestants made at the 2006 District 80
International Speech & Table Topics
Contests held in that memorable and
eventful morning.
The speeches
presented by the contestants were all
great speeches. The audience felt
thrilled and excited at one moment, but
sad or angry at another, totally
submerging in the fun, joy, and what not
that came along with the speeches, let
alone the learning opportunity from
those good speakers.
The climax was
reached when the result of the Speech
Contests were announced. In an ecstasy
of delight and joy, we embraced the the
good news from the Contest Master

Ng Seng Chuan, our veteran
from Tanglin Toastmasters Club, was the
1st runner-up!
International
Speech Contest:
Ramesh Muthusamy, our
star from Raintree Toastmasters Club,
was crowned the Champion!

Chuan, Congratulations; we are proud of
you! We all aspire to be like you one
day in the near future. With your
remarkable achievements, the spirit of
our members in Division U will be
uplifted and that will bring us all to a
new height!
